Charlotte County is a cool place located in the very southwest corner of New Brunswick, Canada. It's home to over 26,000 people.
It was created in 1784 when New Brunswick became its own province, separating from Nova Scotia. The county was named after Queen Charlotte. For a long time, counties helped manage local areas. Today, they are mostly used by Statistics Canada to count people and gather information.

Exploring Charlotte County
Charlotte County is right on the border with the US state of Maine. It's at the northern end of the Appalachian Mountains, which means it has lots of rugged hills and even a place called Mount Pleasant.
Rivers and Islands
Several rivers flow through the county, like the St. Croix, Magaguadavic, and Digdegaush rivers. All these rivers eventually flow into the amazing Bay of Fundy.

In the 2021 Census, Charlotte County had a population of 26,015 people. This was a small increase of 2.3% from 2016. The county covers a land area of about 3,418 square kilometers.

Most people in Charlotte County speak English as their first language. In 2016, about 95% of the population spoke English. A smaller number of people, about 2.3%, speak French. There are also people who speak both English and French, or other languages from around the world.
