Story of the Film
Prince Phillipe Charming has a big problem. When he was little, a jealous fairy named Nemeny Neverwish put a spell on him. This spell makes every woman he meets fall in love with him! But there's a catch: on his 21st birthday, all the love will disappear. To break the spell, he must find his true love before then.
As his birthday gets close, Charming is engaged to three princesses. There's Cinderella, who is a bit impatient. Then there's Snow White, who doesn't trust easily. And finally, Sleeping Beauty, who often falls asleep. None of them know they are all engaged to the same prince!
Charming's father is tired of his son's carefree ways. So, he makes Charming go on a special journey called the Gauntlet. This journey is supposed to help him find his true love.
Lenore's Journey with Charming
A clever thief named Lenore Quinonez robs a royal carriage. She briefly meets Charming, and he is instantly drawn to her. This is unusual because she doesn't fall for his charm. To escape guards, Lenore hides in a bakery. There, she overhears Charming's three fiancées talking.
Lenore pretends to be a baker and steals their belongings. She finds out they are all engaged to Charming. This causes a big scandal! Lenore gets arrested. But the princesses' guardians make a deal with her. They want her to guide Charming to a place called Fire Mountain. There, he will choose one of the princesses to marry. Lenore agrees, hoping to get their riches. To avoid more trouble, she pretends to be a man named Lenny.
Lenore finds Charming a bit silly and not very skilled. But they start to become friends. Lenore shares that she grew up at sea and learned not to trust anyone. What Charming doesn't know is that Nemeny also cursed Lenore. This curse makes Lenore unable to feel love.
Challenges on the Gauntlet
Giant women called the Matilija tribe attack Lenore and Charming. But Charming uses his charm on their chief. She decides to marry him and delays Lenore's death. While Charming is busy, Lenore meets the Half-Oracle. The Oracle tells her that Charming might be her true love.
Charming gets a special sword and frees Lenore. They escape and enter a magical stone cave. Lenore accidentally wakes up a stone monster while trying to steal a ruby. Charming tries to fight it. But he realizes that returning the ruby will calm the creature. As Charming befriends the monster, Lenore starts to wonder if she and Charming belong together.
Lenore begins to have feelings for Charming. She plans a date for them. But Nemeny finds out. She uses magic to draw all the women in the area to Charming. This ruins their date and leaves Lenore heartbroken.
The Final Test
Lenore and Charming finally reach Fire Mountain. They meet the princesses and their guardians. Charming is confused when Lenore gets her reward. He also notices Lenny's cold behavior. Lenore then tells Charming the truth about herself. Charming realizes that Lenore is his true love. They completed the Gauntlet trials together.
Lenore feels she betrayed him and ignores Charming's words of love. Heartbroken, Charming refuses to marry any of the princesses. Instead, he decides to sacrifice himself to save the land from Nemeny's curse. Before his execution, Charming writes letters to all the enchanted women. He explains the curse to them.
Charming says a sad goodbye to his father. As he is about to be hanged, he speaks about his sacrifice. Lenore's bird friend, Illy, hears this. Illy steals one of Charming's letters and tells Lenore. Lenore then realizes that she is Charming's true love!
She stops Charming from being hanged, and they admit their love. Before they can kiss, Nemeny appears. She tries to kill Lenore, but Charming jumps in front of her. He dies, completing the last task of the Gauntlet: a "blind leap of faith."
Lenore cries over his body. Then she remembers "true love's kiss" and kisses Charming. He comes back to life! Nemeny disappears forever, and the land is free from her curses. Lenore and Philippe get married and live happily ever after.
