Christopher Austin Lynn (born 10 April 1990) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman. Chris Lynn plays for the Queensland team and the Adelaide Strikers in Australia. He was born in Brisbane, Queensland. Chris Lynn is famous for being a powerful batsman who can hit huge sixes.

Early Cricket Days
When Chris Lynn is not playing professional cricket, he plays for the Toombul District Cricket Club in Brisbane. He also supports the Brisbane Broncos, a team in the National Rugby League.
Lynn played for the Queensland under-19 team. He made his first big cricket debut in March 2010. This was a first-class match against South Australia. A week later, he scored 139 runs against Western Australia. This helped save Queensland from losing the game.
Playing for Brisbane Heat
Chris Lynn played for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League from 2011 to 2022.
- In his first season (2011–12), he scored 109 runs.
- In his second season (2012–13), he scored 175 runs. This included a quick 51 runs off 29 balls against the Perth Scorchers.
- In his third season (2013–14), he scored 198 runs. His best game was again against the Scorchers, where he made 81 runs.
T20 Cricket Around the World
Chris Lynn has played in many Twenty20 (T20) cricket leagues globally. These include leagues in India, Australia, North America, Europe, and Pakistan.
Playing in India
Lynn was part of the Deccan Chargers team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2011 and 2012. He played only one match in 2012.
- In 2014, the Kolkata Knight Riders signed him. In his first match, he scored 45 runs and took an amazing catch. This helped his team win.
- He got injured in 2015 and missed the tournament.
- In 2017, he scored a very fast 50 runs off just 19 balls for Kolkata Knight Riders. He hit 8 sixes in that game.
- Later that season, he and Sunil Narine scored 105 runs in the first six overs of a match. This was one of the fastest starts in IPL history.
- He continued to play well, even though he was injured for part of the season. He was a very important player for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
- In 2020, the Mumbai Indians bought him for the IPL.
Playing in Australia
On 9 February 2015, Chris Lynn scored an amazing 250 runs without being out in a Sheffield Shield match.
- On 29 December 2015, he scored his first T20 century (100 runs). He hit 101 runs off 51 balls for Brisbane Heat against the Hobart Hurricanes.
- He was the top run-scorer in that Big Bash League season. He scored 378 runs and was named the player of the tournament.
- Lynn continued his great form in the next Big Bash League season. He was again named player of the tournament, even though he played only five matches. He scored 309 runs at a very high average.
- In the 2018–19 Big Bash League, he was the Heat's top run-scorer with 385 runs.
- In the 2021–22 season, his performance was not as strong, and he left the Brisbane Heat.
Playing in North America
- In 2018, Chris Lynn joined the Trinbago Knight Riders for the Caribbean Premier League.
- He was also one of the top players for the first Global T20 Canada tournament. He played for the Edmonton Royals.
- In 2019, he played for the Winnipeg Hawks in the same tournament.
- In 2020, he was part of the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots team for the Caribbean Premier League.
- In 2023, he returned to GT20 Canada and played for the Montreal Tigers. He led his team to win the championship and scored the most runs in the tournament.
Playing in Europe
In July 2019, Chris Lynn was chosen to play for the Edinburgh Rocks in the first Euro T20 Slam tournament. However, the tournament was later cancelled.
Playing in Pakistan
- In 2018, the Lahore Qalandars picked him for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). But he could not play due to a shoulder injury.
- In 2019, he was again chosen by the Lahore Qalandars for the 2020 PSL season. This season was played entirely in Pakistan.
- He was the top run-scorer for his team and the second-highest overall in the season. He scored 284 runs in 8 games. This included his best T20 score of 113 runs not out. This helped his team reach the play-offs for the first time.

International Career
Chris Lynn made his first Twenty20 international (T20I) appearance for Australia on 29 January 2014. This was against England in Hobart. He scored 33 runs off 19 balls, including three sixes.
In January 2017, he was chosen for Australia's One Day International (ODI) team. This was for a series against Pakistan. He made his ODI debut for Australia against Pakistan on 13 January 2017.
Chris Lynn's Playing Style
Chris Lynn is known for his powerful hitting as a batsman. He can hit sixes that travel over 90 meters! In one Big Bash League game, playing for the Brisbane Heat, Lynn hit a ball onto the roof of The Gabba stadium. This was a ball from former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait. Lynn also set a new record in the T10 League. He scored 91 runs off just 30 balls for Maratha Arabians.
