The Ciervo Hills are a low mountain range located in central California. You can find them in the western part of Fresno County. These hills are part of the western San Joaquin Valley, which is a large and important farming region.
A major highway, Interstate 5, runs right next to the Ciervo Hills on their eastern side. This makes the hills easy to spot if you are traveling through the area.

The Ciervo Hills are part of a bigger system called the Southern Inner California Coast Ranges. These ranges are a series of mountains and hills that run along the coast of California. The Ciervo Hills are right next to the Diablo Range on their western side.
How Tall are the Ciervo Hills?
The highest point in the Ciervo Hills reaches about 1,027 metres (3,369 ft) above sea level. While this isn't as high as some of California's famous tall mountains, it's still a significant elevation for a range of hills.
Natural Divisions of the Hills
A natural waterway called Cantua Creek helps to divide the Ciervo Hills from another nearby range, the Big Blue Hills. This creek, along with its canyon called Arroyo de Cantúa, creates a natural boundary between these two hill systems.
