Clearwater is a city in Minnesota, a state in the United States. It is located in both Stearns and Wright counties. Most of Clearwater is in Wright County.
In 2020, about 1,922 people lived in Clearwater. The part of Clearwater in Wright County is near the big cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The smaller part in Stearns County is close to St. Cloud.
The city is nestled between two rivers: the Mississippi River and the Clearwater River. Major roads like Interstate 94 and Minnesota State Highway 24 run through it. Clearwater is about 12 miles south of St. Cloud. It's also 16 miles northwest of Monticello and 25 miles northwest of Buffalo.

History of Clearwater
Clearwater was officially planned and settled in 1856. It got its name from the nearby Clearwater River. A post office has been open in Clearwater since it was founded in 1856.
Some buildings in Clearwater are very old and important. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means they are special places that should be protected because of their history. These include the First Congregational Church of Clearwater (built in 1861), the William W. Webster House (built in 1863), and the Clearwater Masonic and Grand Army of the Republic Hall (built in 1888).
