Clyde Hill is a city in King County, Washington. It is part of the Eastside area, which is east of Seattle. Clyde Hill is surrounded by other cities like Bellevue, Kirkland, and Medina.
In 2020, about 3,126 people lived in Clyde Hill. Most of the city is for single-family homes. There are only two small areas for businesses: a gas station and a coffee shop.
Clyde Hill also has a small government area. It is home to four schools. Two are public schools: Clyde Hill Elementary and Chinook Middle School. The other two are private schools: Bellevue Christian School and Sacred Heart School.

Geography
Clyde Hill is located in Washington. The highest point in the city is almost 375 feet above sea level. There are about 21 miles of public roads in Clyde Hill.
The United States Census Bureau says the city covers about 1.06 square miles (2.73 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
History
Clyde Hill became an official town on March 31, 1953. Residents voted to become a town so they could control how land was used. This included things like the size of building lots and where businesses could be.
In 1953, people voted 145 to 117 to make Clyde Hill an incorporated town. Ken Day became the first Mayor of Clyde Hill. He won against Don Clark. The first council members were chosen by write-in votes.
A very interesting event happened in the 1975 mayoral election. The two candidates, Liberino "Lib" Tufarolo and Miles Nelson, tied with 576 votes each. According to state law, they had to decide the winner with a coin flip. This event even got attention from national news! Miles Nelson won the election when he called heads.
