The Columbia Valley is a small valley and community in British Columbia, Canada. It stretches southwest from Cultus Lake. This area also goes across the Canada–United States border into Whatcom County, Washington in the USA.

The Columbia Valley is located south of the City of Chilliwack. It is also found east of Abbotsford. The valley lies between Vedder Mountain and the large Cascade Mountains. There is no official border crossing in this valley. It is mostly home to a few farms. The community of Lindell Beach is part of the Columbia Valley. It sits right on the south shore of Cultus Lake. The land here looks a lot like the Fraser Valley, but it is a bit higher up.

A Look at Its History

In the 1920s, a special train track was used to carry logs. This was part of a logging operation. These logs went from the Columbia Valley to a mill in White Rock. The train even crossed into the American side of the border to get there.
