Exploring Coral Cove's Location
Coral Cove is right next to the amazing Coral Sea on its eastern side. To the north-west, you'll find Palmer Creek, which flows into the Coral Sea.
Barolin Rock: A Coastal Landmark
One cool feature on the east coast is Barolin Rock. This is a rocky point that sticks out into the Coral Sea. It's a well-known spot in the area.
What the Land is Used For
Most of Coral Cove is used for homes. You'll also see parts of the Coral Cove Golf Course spread throughout the area. In the north-east, there's the Coral Cove Environment Reserve, which is a protected natural space near the creek. Some parts of the western area are still untouched and natural.

The coastline of Coral Cove is part of the Woongarra Coast, which is a section of the Great Sandy Marine Park. This coast has lots of rocks that extend into the ocean. These rocky areas are perfect for coral reefs to grow. The coral reefs around Barolin Rock are super important because they are some of the southernmost coral reefs you can find.

In 2013, a big storm called Cyclone Oswald hit the area. Some parts of Coral Cove had flooding and wind damage. Luckily, no one was hurt. People from the community worked together as volunteers to help clean everything up.

Golfing at Coral Cove Golf Course
The Coral Cove Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course. It's known for having one of the longest golf holes in Australia, measuring 635 meters! This is one of only two "par 6" holes in the entire country. Both members and the public can play here. There are golf competitions held five days a week. The resort connected to the golf course also offers places to stay, bars, restaurants, rooms for events, and swimming pools.
