Cory Alexander Henry (born February 27, 1987) is a talented American musician. He plays jazz organ, piano, and sings. He is also a gospel musician and a music producer.
Cory used to be a member of the band Snarky Puppy. In 2018, he started his own solo music career. His first independent album was called Art of Love. In 2020, he released another album, Something to Say. This album included the song "No Guns." That same year, he also released Art of Love Live and Christmas with You.
Famous music producer Quincy Jones chose Cory Henry to perform at the opening of The Shed in New York City. In 2021, Beats Electronics used Cory's song "Run to Glory" in a commercial. This song was co-produced and written by Cory, Kanye West, and Dr. Dre. Cory also worked as a producer and composer for the song "24" on Kanye West's album Donda.

Early Life
Cory Henry was born in Brooklyn, New York. He started playing music at a very young age. He was playing both the piano and the B3 organ when he was just two years old. When he was six, he even performed a show at the famous Apollo Theater.
Music Career
Cory Henry began touring as a musician in 2006. Since then, he has performed with many well-known artists. These include Bruce Springsteen, Michael McDonald, P. Diddy, Boyz II Men, Kenny Garrett, and The Roots. He has also toured with many gospel artists. Some of these are Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, and Yolanda Adams.
Early Albums and Success
Cory released his album First Steps on July 21, 2014. This album did very well on the Billboard music charts. It reached number five on the Top Jazz Albums chart. It also reached number 30 on the Top Heatseekers Albums chart.
His second album, The Revival, was recorded live. It came out on March 18, 2016. This album also charted high. It reached number five on the Top Gospel Albums chart. It also hit number two on the Top Jazz Albums chart.
Solo Career and Collaborations
On April 13, 2018, Cory Henry released his first single as a solo artist. The song was called "Trade It All," and he released it with his band, The Funk Apostles. A few months later, on July 13, 2018, he released his first album with The Funk Apostles, called Art of Love. Cory has also often worked with the band Vulfpeck.
In 2018, Cory left the band Snarky Puppy to focus on his solo music. On October 31, 2020, he released his second full-length album, Something to Say. In October 2019, Cory also taught a songwriting class at Brown University.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Cory released three of his own music projects. He also worked on many other songs for different artists. He was a writer and performer on songs like "Cutthroat" and "Follow You" by Imagine Dragons. He also worked on "First Noel" by Jazmine Sullivan and "Free Like Me" by Marc E. Bassy.
Cory played the organ on the song "24" (also known as "Run to Glory") from Kanye West's album Donda. On September 10, 2021, Cory performed the national anthem with Michelle Williams. This was at the start of the National Football League season in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Recent Projects
On September 17, 2021, Cory Henry released his third solo album, Best of Me. On this album, Cory sings and plays the B3 organ, Moog synthesizer, and Harpejji. Cory said that this album is a collection of songs inspired by his favorite musicians. Some of his influences include Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, P-Funk, and James Brown.
On December 25, 2021, Cory was featured on a long song released by Frank Ocean. He also helped write and perform the song "G3 N15" from Spanish singer Rosalía's 2022 album Motomami.
In July 2022, Cory worked with Imagine Dragons again on their song "Continual." Later in 2022, he released a studio album called Operation Funk. He then released a live version of that album.
On September 6, 2022, Cory Henry shared on Twitter that he plans to step back from the music business. He wants to focus on playing music just for fun, instead of for money.
