Early Life and Education
Daisy Fuentes was born on November 17, 1966, in Havana, Cuba. Her father was Cuban, and her mother was Spanish. In 1969, when Daisy was three, her family left Cuba. They moved to Madrid, Spain. Four years later, her family moved to Harrison, New Jersey, in the United States.
Daisy went to Harrison High School. She was very popular and graduated in 1984. She first wanted to be a hairstylist. She even went to cosmetology school. Later, she studied communications at Bergen Community College.
Career Highlights
While still in college, Daisy started her TV career. She presented the weather for Telemundo's local station, WNJU-TV 47. Soon after, she moved to Univision's WXTV-TV 41 in New York. There, she was a weather anchor and reported for the news.
