David Gyasi (born on January 2, 1980) is a talented British actor. He has appeared in many popular movies and TV shows. Some of his well-known films include Cloud Atlas (2012) and Interstellar (2014).
On television, you might know him from the BBC series White Heat (2012) and Troy: Fall of a City (2018). He also starred in the miniseries Containment (2016) and the Amazon Prime show Carnival Row (2019–2023). More recently, he was in the Netflix political thriller The Diplomat (2023).

Early Life and Education
David Gyasi was born in Hammersmith, London, on January 2, 1980. He was one of seven children. His parents were from Ghana and moved to England in 1966. They divorced when David was young.
He grew up in areas of London called Fulham and Hayes. David went to Bishopshalt School and later studied at East Berkshire College. After that, he decided to study Drama at Middlesex University.
Acting Career Highlights
David Gyasi started his acting career in television and film in the early 2000s. His first main TV role was in the 2005 ITV comedy Mike Bassett: Manager. That same year, he got a big film role in Shooting Dogs.
Big Screen Roles
In 2012, David Gyasi starred in the science fiction movie Cloud Atlas. He played a character named Autua. He also appeared in the BBC Two historical drama White Heat.
Later, he was in the BBC One TV film The Whale (2013). A major role came in 2014 with Christopher Nolan's film Interstellar. For this role, he was nominated for a Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.

From 2019 to 2023, he was a main character named Agreus in the Amazon Prime fantasy series Carnival Row. David also starred in the Western film Hell on the Border. He appeared in other movies like Cold Blood, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Come Away. He also had a recurring role in series 3 of The A Word.
Personal Life
David Gyasi met his wife, Emma, when they were in college. They had their first child, a daughter named Elèna, who is now also an actress. The couple got married and later had a son named Nathaniel. The family lives in a village in Buckinghamshire, England. David Gyasi is a practicing Anglican.
