David Gyasi (born 2 January 1980) is a British actor. He is known for his roles in many movies and TV shows. Some of his famous films include Cloud Atlas (2012) and Interstellar (2014). On television, he has starred in series like White Heat (2012), Containment (2016), Troy: Fall of a City (2018), Carnival Row (2019–2023), and The Diplomat (2023).

Early Life and Education
David Gyasi was born on January 2, 1980, in Hammersmith, London. He was one of seven children. His parents were from Ghana and moved to England in 1966. They divorced when he was young.
David grew up in Fulham and Hayes. He went to Bishopshalt School. Later, he studied Drama at Middlesex University.
Acting Career
David Gyasi started his acting career in 2003. His first main TV role was in the comedy Mike Bassett: Manager in 2005. That same year, he got a big movie role in Shooting Dogs.
In 2008, David acted in the play War Horse at the Royal National Theatre. He was on stage with actor Kit Harington.
In 2012, David starred in the science fiction movie Cloud Atlas. He played a character named Autua. After that, he appeared in the historical drama White Heat on BBC Two.
He also acted in the TV film The Whale (2013). In 2014, he was in the popular science fiction film Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. For his role in Interstellar, he was nominated for a Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.
In 2016, David played Major Alex "Lex" Carnahan in the miniseries Containment. He then took on the role of Achilles in the 2018 series Troy: Fall of a City, which was based on the ancient Greek story of The Iliad.
From 2019 to 2023, he was a main character named Agreus in the fantasy series Carnival Row. He also appeared in several movies like Cold Blood, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Come Away. In 2023, he joined the cast of the political thriller The Diplomat.
Personal Life
David Gyasi met his wife, Emma, when they were in college. They got married and have two children: a daughter named Elèna, who is also an actress, and a son named Nathaniel. The family lives in a village in Buckinghamshire, England. David is a Christian and practices the Anglican faith.
