Delley-Portalban is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Fribourg, within the Broye district. This municipality was formed on January 1, 2005. It was created when two smaller places, Delley and Portalban, joined together.

History of Delley-Portalban
The village of Delley was first mentioned in old records in the year 1342. Portalban is even older, first appearing in records in 1166. These mentions show that people have lived in these areas for a very long time.
Geography of Delley-Portalban
Delley-Portalban covers an area of about 7.3 square kilometers. A large part of this land, about 64%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 13.5% of the area. Around 12% of the land has buildings and roads. A small part, less than 1%, is made up of rivers or lakes. The rest, about 9.9%, is land that cannot be used for farming or building.
Most of the water in Delley-Portalban is in lakes. The municipality is located in the Broye district. It includes the main villages of Delley and Portalban. There are also smaller communities called hamlets, such as Grange-des-Bois, Portalban-Dessus, and Moulin de Glâne.
