Diana Vishneva (born July 13, 1976) is a famous Russian ballet dancer. She is a principal dancer with the Mariinsky Ballet, which used to be called the Kirov Ballet. This means she is one of the main and most important dancers in the company.

About Diana Vishneva's Life
Diana Vishneva was born in Leningrad, which is now called Saint Petersburg, Russia. She was born on July 13, 1976. Her father, Viktor Vishnev, is Russian, and her mother, Guzal Afletunova, is Tatar.
In 2013, Diana married Konstantin Selinevich. They have a son named Rudolf-Viktor, who was born in 2018.
Diana Vishneva's Ballet Career
Diana Vishneva trained at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. This is a very famous ballet school. While she was there, she earned some of the highest scores ever recorded in the school's history. In her last year, she also trained at the Mariinsky Theatre.
After graduating in 1995, Vishneva joined the Mariinsky Ballet Company. She quickly became a top dancer. She won two important awards early in her career: the Benois de la Danse and the Golden Sofit. These awards helped her become a principal dancer in 1996.
Dancing in America
Vishneva first performed with the American Ballet Theatre in 2003. She officially joined them as a principal dancer in 2005. She danced with this company until she retired from it in 2017.
In 2008, Vishneva joined the board of directors for the Russian Children's Welfare Society (RCWS). This group helps children in Russia. She was also featured in a 2006 movie about ballet called Ballerina.
