Douglas da Silva is a professional football player from Brazil. He was born on March 7, 1984. Douglas plays as a central defender for the club Brusque.

Douglas's Football Journey
Douglas da Silva started his professional football career in Brazil. In 2005, he moved to Israel to play for Hapoel Kfar Saba. He quickly became known as one of the best defenders in the Israeli league. After four years with Hapoel Kfar Saba, he decided to join one of Israel's top clubs, Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Playing in Europe
When Douglas joined Hapoel Tel Aviv, he got to play in big European football tournaments for the first time. In May 2010, his team won both the Israeli Championship and the State Cup, which is called winning the "country double." He also helped Hapoel Tel Aviv reach the group stage of the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League. On November 24, he scored his first goal in the Champions League against S.L. Benfica, helping his team win 3–0.
In December 2010, Douglas agreed to join the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. The deal was completed on January 11, 2011. Hapoel Tel Aviv received about €2.6 million for the transfer. Douglas signed a five-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg.
Loan Spells and Return to Brazil
In January 2013, Douglas went on loan to Figueirense in Brazil. The next year, in February 2014, he was loaned to Vasco da Gama. By December 2014, Vasco da Gama signed him permanently.
In 2016, Douglas moved to the Czech Republic and joined Mladá Boleslav as a free agent. He played his first game for them on October 4 in a Europa League qualifying match. After his time in Europe, Douglas returned to Brazil and currently plays for Brusque.
