Douglas da Silva's Football Journey
Douglas da Silva started his football career in Brazil. He played for youth teams like Avaí. Later, he joined senior clubs such as Atlético Paranaense.
Playing in Israel
In 2005, Douglas moved to Israel. He joined a team called Hapoel Kfar Saba. He quickly became one of the best defenders in the Israeli league. After four years, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv, one of Israel's top clubs.
Success with Hapoel Tel Aviv
With Hapoel Tel Aviv, Douglas played in big European competitions for the first time. In May 2010, his team won both the Israeli Championship and the State Cup. This is called winning the "country double." He also helped Hapoel reach the group stage of the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League. On November 24, he scored his first Champions League goal. This goal helped his team win 3–0 against S.L. Benfica.
Moving to Austria
On December 19, 2010, Douglas agreed to join the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. He officially moved there on January 11, 2011. This was a big move for him.
Loan Spells and Return to Brazil
In January 2013, Douglas went back to Brazil on loan. He played for Figueirense. In February 2014, he was loaned to Vasco da Gama. Later in December 2014, Vasco da Gama signed him permanently.
Playing in the Czech Republic
In 2016, Douglas signed with Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. He made his first appearance for them on October 4. This was in a Europa League qualifying match.
