History of Dovray
Dovray was officially planned and marked out in 1904. This process is called "platting." The city got its name from Dovray Township, which is the larger area it is located within.
Geography and Location
Dovray is found in the eastern part of Murray County. It is about 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Slayton, which is the main town and county seat.
How to Get to Dovray
Minnesota State Highway 30 runs along the southern edge of Dovray. You can travel west on this highway for 6 miles (10 km) to reach Currie. Going east for the same distance will take you to Westbrook. County Road 42 is on the eastern side of Dovray, and County Road 11 passes just north of the city.
