Dunmore is a small community called a hamlet in Alberta, Canada. It is located within Cypress County. Dunmore is about 2.6 kilometers (1.6 miles) southeast of Medicine Hat. You can find it along Highway 1 and the Canadian Pacific Railway line.
Dunmore is an important place because it is the main office for Cypress County. It also serves as the administrative center for the Prairie Rose School Division No. 8. The community was named by the CPR. They named it after one of their supporters, Charles Murray, 7th Earl of Dunmore.
