History of Dunnell
Dunnell has had a post office since 1873. The city got its name from Mark H. Dunnell. He was an important person who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for Minnesota.
Geography of Dunnell
Dunnell is found in the southwestern part of Martin County. It is located along Minnesota State Highway 4. This highway goes north about 8 miles (13 km) to Sherburn. It also goes south about 12 miles (19 km) to Estherville, Iowa. You can reach Interstate 90 from Sherburn.
