Eddie Doucette is remembered for coining the term "skyhook." This was a special shot used by basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Eddie first used the term on May 10, 1974, during an NBA Finals game.

He also had a signature call: "Bango!" He would shout this whenever a Bucks player made a long-distance shot. This call became so popular that it was even used by his successor, Ted Davis. Today, "Bango" is the name of the Milwaukee Bucks' mascot!

Helping Others: The MACC Fund

In 1976, Eddie Doucette and former Bucks player Jon McGlocklin started something very important. They co-founded the MACC Fund. MACC stands for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer.

They started this fund after Eddie's two-year-old son, Brett, was diagnosed with cancer. The MACC Fund raises money to help find cures for childhood cancer and blood disorders. Today, Eddie serves as the fund's honorary vice-president, continuing his work to help children.
