Edymar Martínez Blanco (born July 10, 1995) is a famous model and beauty queen from Venezuela. She became well-known after winning several beauty contests. Edymar represented her home state of Anzoátegui in the Miss Venezuela 2014 competition. There, she was crowned Miss Venezuela International. Later, on November 5, 2015, she won the big Miss International 2015 title in Tokyo, Japan.

About Edymar Martínez
Edymar Martínez started modeling when she was very young. She worked with an organization called "Intermodels Venezuela" in her hometown of Puerto La Cruz. In December 2010, when she was 15 years old, Edymar took part in the "Miss Teen Beauty Venezuela" contest. She won this competition, which was her first experience in beauty pageants. Edymar has also appeared in campaigns for "Trends" magazine and Biglidue.

Miss Venezuela 2014 Competition
Edymar represented the state of Anzoátegui in the 62nd Miss Venezuela pageant. This event took place on October 9, 2014. She competed against 24 other young women from different parts of Venezuela. During the contest, she won a special award called "Miss Face." At the end of the evening, she was named Miss Venezuela International. This meant she would go on to represent her country in the Miss International 2015 contest.
Winning Miss International 2015
Edymar represented Venezuela in the Miss International 2015 pageant. This major international event was held on November 5, 2015. It took place at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. She competed with more than 70 contestants from many different countries and regions. At the end of the show, Edymar was crowned Miss International 2015. The previous winner, Valerie Hernández from Puerto Rico, placed the crown on her. This victory marked Venezuela's seventh time winning the Miss International crown.
Edymar's Time as Miss International
After winning the crown, Edymar had many duties and travels.
- On November 6, 2015, she visited Osaka Prefecture for a sponsor event. She went to the Panasonic Beauty Company with the other finalists.
- The next day, November 7, 2015, Edymar and her runners-up visited the Miss Paris Beauty School in Tokyo. This school was a sponsor of the Miss International Pageant.
- On November 9, 2015, Edymar traveled to Mie Prefecture. There, she did activities with the finalists, including visiting the Mikimoto company and the Prefecture Office.
- On November 11, 2015, Edymar attended the UDC13 Event.
Edymar traveled across Japan for various sponsor visits. On November 17, 2015, she returned to Venezuela for her homecoming. Her arrival was shown on Venezuelan television, and she held a press conference in Caracas. The next day, November 18, 2015, Edymar appeared on "Portada's," a Venezuelan TV program. On November 20, 2015, she was interviewed by Noticiero Venevision. She also received a special tribute on "Super Sabado Sensacional," a five-hour TV special on Venevisión. During this show, she was given a traditional Venezuelan kokeshi doll. This has been a tradition since 1985, when Venezuela first won the Miss International title.
On February 19, 2016, Edymar attended the final of Puteri Indonesia 2016 in Jakarta. Usually, the reigning Miss Universe attends this event. This was the first time the Puteri Indonesia Pageant invited Miss International to their coronation. In April 2016, she won the "Timeless Beauty 2015" title and was featured in "Hola! Venezuela" magazine.
On June 24, 2016, Edymar traveled to Bolivia. She was a special guest at the crowning of the new Miss Bolivia. She attended with another major beauty queen, Stephania Stegman, who was Miss Supranational 2015.
During her time as Miss International, Edymar traveled to several countries. These included Bolivia, Indonesia, Panama, and many trips around Japan. She also made many visits within her home country of Venezuela.
