Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa (born on July 21, 2006), known simply as Endrick, is a Brazilian professional footballer. He plays as a striker for the Spanish club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team.

Early life and Football Dreams

Endrick was born in Taguatinga, Brazil. He has one brother and two sisters. His father, Douglas de Sousa Silva Ramos, also tried to become a professional footballer. When Endrick was young, his family faced tough times. Endrick and his siblings even lived in an orphanage for a while.

Endrick started playing football when he was just four years old. His father would post videos of his goals on YouTube. Endrick dreamed of becoming a professional player to help his family. He grew up loving Real Madrid and looked up to football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo. He also admired other Brazilian players who played for Real Madrid, such as Ronaldo, Vinícius Jr., Rodrygo, and Éder Militão.

Club Career Highlights

Starting at Palmeiras

Endrick joined the Palmeiras youth team when he was 11 years old. Over the next five years, he scored an amazing 165 goals in 169 games for their youth teams!

In 2022, he played in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, a big youth tournament. He scored eight goals and was named the best player. Palmeiras won their first title in this competition thanks to his help. This made international football fans and big European clubs notice him.

Endrick made his first professional appearance for Palmeiras on October 6, 2022. He was only 16 years, two months, and 16 days old, making him the youngest player ever to play for Palmeiras' first team. He scored his first two goals on October 25, helping his team win 3–1. He became the second youngest goal scorer in Brazil's top league.

Palmeiras won the league title that year, and Endrick scored his third goal in just seven games. At the end of the season, he was named the most promising player in the league.

In 2023, Endrick continued to shine. He scored two goals and made an assist in a thrilling 4–3 comeback win against Botafogo. Palmeiras went on to win their second league title in a row, with Endrick scoring a key goal in the final match. He finished the season with eleven goals, which was the second-highest for a player under 18 in the league's history, only behind Ronaldo.

Moving to Real Madrid

On December 15, 2022, La Liga club Real Madrid announced they had agreed to sign Endrick. He would join them in July 2024, when he turned 18. The exact transfer fee was not fully revealed, but it was reported to be a large amount. On July 19, 2024, Real Madrid confirmed he signed a six-year contract. He was officially introduced as a new player on July 27 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Endrick made his debut for Real Madrid on August 25, 2024, in a 3–0 win against Real Valladolid. He scored the third goal after coming on as a substitute. This made him the youngest foreign player to score for Real Madrid in La Liga history!

On September 17, he scored in his first UEFA Champions League game against VfB Stuttgart. He became the youngest player to score for Real Madrid in the competition and the youngest Brazilian to score in the Champions League. He also scored five goals in the Copa del Rey tournament, helping Real Madrid reach the final.

In May 2025, Endrick had a right hamstring injury. This meant he would miss some games, including the FIFA Club World Cup.

International Career for Brazil

Youth Teams

In March 2022, Endrick was called up to the Brazilian national under-17 team. He played in the Montaigu Tournament in France, where he scored five goals in four matches. He even scored against Argentina in the final! Brazil won the tournament, and Endrick was named the best player.

He also played for the Brazil national under-23 team in 2024. They tried to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics but did not make it.

Senior National Team

Endrick was first called up to the Brazil national team on November 6, 2023. He was chosen for World Cup qualifying matches. He became the youngest male player to be called up for the senior team since Ronaldo in 1994.

He made his debut against Colombia, becoming the fourth youngest player ever to play for Brazil.

Endrick scored his first goal for Brazil in a friendly game against England at Wembley Stadium on March 23, 2024. He was the youngest player to score at that famous stadium for any team or country. Three days later, he scored his second goal for Brazil in a 3–3 draw against Spain.

He was also part of the Brazil squad for the 2024 Copa América tournament.

After scoring his first goal for Brazil against England, Endrick shared that he admired the late English football legend Bobby Charlton. His teammate Rodrygo later joked that his teammates started calling Endrick "Bobby" because of this.

In September 2024, Endrick married his girlfriend, Gabriely Miranda. In November 2024, he became a Baptist Christian and was baptized in Madrid.

Style of Play

Endrick is a left-footed forward known for his powerful shots. Many people see him as one of Brazil's most exciting young football talents. He has been compared to famous Brazilian strikers like Ronaldo, Pelé, and Romário.

However, Endrick himself has said he doesn't like being compared to these legends. When asked to describe how he plays, Endrick said, "I'll always fight. I'll be persistent and try until the last minute I'm in the game. I never give up, I pressure defenders, I run more than anyone else on the pitch." His father has also mentioned that Endrick is inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.
