Erica Monique Campbell (born April 29, 1972) is an American Gospel singer and songwriter. She sings urban contemporary gospel, Christian R&B, and contemporary R&B music. Erica started her music journey in the late 1990s with her younger sister, Tina Campbell. They formed a famous group called Mary Mary.
Erica's first solo album, Help (released in 2014), was a big hit. It reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart. This album also won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album at the 57th Grammy Awards. An updated version of the album, Help 2.0 (2015), included the popular song "I Luh God". This song became number one on the gospel chart. She released her second album, I Love You, in 2023. In 2024, her song "One Hallelujah," which she sang with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Israel Houghton, Jonathan McReynolds, and Jekalyn Carr, won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
Besides her music, Campbell has also acted in movies. She appeared in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993) and The Fighting Temptations (2003). Since May 2016, she has been the host of a radio show called Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell. She hosts it with comedian Griff.

Early Life and Family
Erica Monique Atkins was born on April 29, 1972, in Inglewood, California. Her father, Eddie Aaron Atkins Jr., was a pastor. Her mother is Thomasina Andrea "Honey" Atkins. Erica has many siblings. Her younger sister, Tina Atkins, later became her music partner in the group Mary Mary.
Music Journey
Erica's music career began in 1998. She and her younger sister, Tina Campbell, formed the gospel music duo, Mary Mary. As part of Mary Mary, Erica won many awards. These include Stellar Music Awards, Dove Awards, four Grammy Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, two American Music Awards, a Soul Train Award, and a BET Award.
In 2008, Erica recorded a solo song called "Stand." It was for the movie A Good Man Is Hard to Find. In 2011, Mary Mary received the ASCAP Golden Note Award. This award recognized their amazing songwriting.
Erica started her solo music career in 2013. Her first solo album, Help, was released on March 25, 2014. This album was very successful on the Billboard charts. It reached number 6 on The Billboard 200, number 1 on Top Gospel Albums, and number 2 on Independent Albums charts. Campbell won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album for Help in 2015.
Her next album, Help 2.0, came out on March 31, 2015. This album also did well on the charts. In early 2018, Erica and her husband, Warryn Campbell, started their own reality show on TV One. The show featured Erica working on her new album. Also in 2018, Erica and Warryn released a music video for their song "All of My Life."
On September 23, 2022, Erica released the song "Positive." She then released "Feel Alright (Blessed)" on January 13, 2023. Both songs are from her second album, I Love You, which was released later in 2023.
Personal Life
Erica Campbell is married to Warryn Campbell. They live in Los Angeles with their three children. She became an honorary member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority on January 15, 2023.
