What is Épée Fencing?

Fencing is a sport where two people fight using special swords. It is like a physical game of chess. There are three types of swords: foil, sabre, and épée. Fabian Kauter uses the épée.

The épée is the heaviest of the three fencing swords. In épée fencing, you can score a point by touching any part of your opponent's body. This includes their head, arms, and feet. It's a sport that needs a lot of skill, speed, and smart thinking.
