Farah (which is written as فراه in Pashto and Persian) is one of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan. It is located in the southwest part of the country. The capital city of Farah Province is also called Farah.
Farah is a very large province, but not many people live there. It is the fourth largest province in all of Afghanistan. It shares a border with Iran. Most of the people living in Farah are Pashtun.
