Fatin Shidqia Lubis (born on July 30, 1996), known simply as Fatin Shidqia or Fatin, is a talented Indonesian singer. She became famous after winning the first season of X Factor Indonesia in May 2013. Fatin is known as one of the most successful winners in the show's history. She signed with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, a big record label.
After winning X Factor, Fatin released her first song, "Aku Memilih Setia". This song quickly became number one on iTunes Indonesia. Fatin also released her first album, For You. It also hit number one on the iTunes Indonesia Album Chart and was one of the most popular albums that year. Her album helped her get eight nominations and win five AMI Awards. These awards included Best Album, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Female Singer. Her album For You and its six songs sold over 500,000 copies in Indonesia. "Dia Dia Dia" was her second song, released in December 2013. It reached number 16 on the music charts and won her an Anugerah Planet Muzik Award for Most Popular Song.
In August 2016, Fatin won the Best Asian New Female Act award at the Daf BAMA Music Awards in Hamburg, Germany. This made her the first Indonesian artist to receive this special award.

Fatin Shidqia was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and grew up in South Jakarta. She attended SMA Negeri 97 Jakarta. According to her mother, Fatin started singing when she was only two years old!

How Fatin Started: X Factor Indonesia
In 2012, Fatin tried out for the first season of X Factor Indonesia. She sang "Grenade" by Bruno Mars for her audition. The judges were very impressed, and many people on social media loved her performance. Her audition video quickly got millions of views on YouTube.
Fatin continued through the competition. She performed many songs, showing off her unique voice. She made it through different stages like boot camp and judges' houses. Finally, she reached the live shows, where she performed songs like "Diamonds" and "Rumour Has It". She kept getting positive comments from the judges.
On May 25, 2013, Fatin was announced as the winner of the first season of X Factor Indonesia. It was a huge moment for her!

After X Factor and First Album
After winning X Factor Indonesia, Fatin's winning song, "Aku Memilih Setia", was released online. It quickly became the number one song on iTunes Indonesia. Fatin also appeared in a commercial for Indosat IM3. She even became the first girl wearing a Hijab to be on the cover of the Indonesian magazine "HAI".
On July 15, 2013, Fatin became a brand ambassador for the clothing line "Rabbani". On the same day, she released her second song, "KekasihMu". This song was part of a music collection called "The Best of Islamic Music Vol.2".
In August 2013, Fatin performed at a special TV show for RCTI's 24th anniversary, called X Factor Around the World. She sang her winning song, "Aku Memilih Setia", and performed duets with other international X Factor stars.
Fatin also held a mini-concert in Bandung, West Java, called "Fatin Shidqia Live Charity Concert". Some of the money from this concert was given to help orphans.
In September 2013, Fatin made her acting debut in a movie called 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa. She also sang a song for the movie's soundtrack. Her third song, "Dia Dia Dia", was released in November 2013, just before her first album.
On November 11, 2013, Fatin released her first album, For You. She worked with KFC Indonesia to sell the album. For this album, Fatin collaborated with talented songwriters and producers from Sweden and Australia. Her music video for "Cahaya Di Langit Itu" was released in November 2013, and it became the official song for her movie 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa.
Fatin won the 'Rising Star of the Year' award at the 2013 Yahoo! OMG Awards. She also received two nominations from "HAI" magazine for 'The Best Fresh Meat' and 'The Best Female'. In December, Fatin had a concert on RCTI to celebrate her album launch. During the show, she was surprised to learn her album had already sold enough copies to be called "multi-platinum" in just three weeks!
2014 and Beyond: More Music and Movies
In January 2014, Fatin performed at a concert called Konser KFC Adu Bintang 2 with many famous Indonesian musicians. She also won the "Outstanding Newcomer Singer" award at the 2014 Dahsyatnya Awards. In April 2014, she performed at the 17th Panasonic Gobel Awards.
In May 2014, Fatin released a music video for her song "Kaulah Kamuku", which featured The Overtunes. In June, she won the "Favorite Singer" award at the 2014 Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards. She also performed "Happy" at the event.
Fatin received five awards from eight nominations at the 2014 Anugerah Musik Indonesia, including "Best New Artist" and "Best Female Pop Soloist".
Fatin starred in her first main role in an Indonesian movie called Dreams, which came out on March 10, 2016. She acted alongside well-known Indonesian actors. Fatin also sang the main song for the movie, "Away", which was her first song in English.
