Fatin Shidqia Lubis (born July 30, 1996), known simply as Fatin, is a talented Indonesian singer. She became famous after winning the first season of X Factor Indonesia in May 2013. Many consider her the most successful winner in the show's history. Fatin is signed with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia.

After winning X Factor, Fatin released her first song, "Aku Memilih Setia". It quickly became number one on iTunes Indonesia. She then released her first album, For You. This album also hit number one and was very successful in Indonesia.

For You earned Fatin many awards, including 'Best Album' and 'Best New Artist'. Her album and its songs sold over 500,000 copies! In 2016, Fatin won the 'Best Asian New Female Act' award in Germany. She was the first Indonesian artist to receive this honor.

Fatin's Early Life

Fatin Shidqia was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She grew up in South Jakarta and went to SMA Negeri 97 Jakarta. Her mother says Fatin started singing when she was only two years old!

Becoming an X Factor Star

In 2012, Fatin auditioned for the first season of X Factor Indonesia. She sang "Grenade" by Bruno Mars. The judges were amazed by her performance. Her audition video quickly got over 4 million views on YouTube.

Fatin continued to impress the judges through the competition. She performed many popular songs, including "Diamonds" by Rihanna and "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys. She also sang "Mercy" by Duffy and received great feedback.

Fatin made it all the way to the Grand Final. There, she performed with famous singers like Afgansyah Reza. On May 25, 2013, Fatin was announced as the winner of X Factor Indonesia!

After X Factor: Music and Movies

After winning X Factor Indonesia, Fatin's song "Aku Memilih Setia" was released online. It quickly became the number one song on iTunes in Indonesia. Fatin also appeared in commercials and became the first girl wearing a Hijab to be on the cover of "HAI" magazine.

In July 2013, Fatin became a brand ambassador for the clothing line "Rabbani". She also released her second song, "KekasihMu". This song was part of a special album called "The Best of Islamic Music Vol.2".

Fatin performed at a big TV special called X Factor Around the World. She sang her winner's song and performed with international artists. In August 2013, Fatin held a charity concert in Bandung. Some of the money raised went to help orphans.

In September 2013, Fatin made her acting debut in the movie 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa. She also sang the movie's theme song, "Cahaya Di Langit Itu". This song's music video was released on YouTube in November 2013.

In 2014, Fatin continued to perform at big events and win awards. She sang "Aku Memilih Setia" at the 2014 Dahsyatnya Awards and won 'Outstanding Newcomer Singer'. She also won 'Favorite Singer' at the 2014 Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards.

Fatin received many awards at the 2014 Anugerah Musik Indonesia. She won 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Female Pop Soloist'.

Fatin starred in her first movie, Dreams, which came out in March 2016. She played the main character, Fatin, and sang the movie's original soundtrack, "Away". This was her first song in English!
