Discovering Featherbed Top
Featherbed Top is a bare, rounded hilltop. It is covered by a special type of land called peat moorland. This means the ground is made of decaying plants, which makes it soft and spongy.

This hill is located about 900 meters (around half a mile) south of a famous walking path called the Pennine Way. This path crosses a road known as Snake Pass. Featherbed Top is also southeast of the town of Glossop.
A High Point in the Peak District
