Fehren is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Thierstein district in the canton of Solothurn.

Fehren's History
Fehren has a long history! It was first mentioned in official records way back in 1371. Back then, it was known as der Hofe in Ferren.
Fehren's Geography
Fehren covers an area of about 1.48 square kilometers (0.57 square miles). A big part of this land, about 54.7%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 30.4% of the area.

About 15.5% of Fehren's land is developed with buildings and roads. A tiny bit, 0.7%, is made up of rivers or lakes. Most of the developed area (10.1%) has houses and other buildings. Roads and transportation take up 4.1%.
The municipality is located in the Thierstein district. It sits on the eastern slope above the Breitenbach valley.
