Fort Laramie is a small town in Goshen County, Wyoming, in the United States. In 2020, about 206 people lived there.
The town gets its name from the historic Fort Laramie. This old fort was a very important stop for pioneers traveling west. It was on famous routes like the Oregon, California, and Mormon trails. It was also a key place for military groups and for signing treaties. The original fort is located south of the town, across the North Platte River, where the Laramie River joins it.

The area around Fort Laramie has a rich history. In 1860, the old Fort Laramie served as a station for the Pony Express. The Pony Express was a fast mail service that used riders on horses to deliver letters across the country.
