Over ten years (from 2000 to 2010), the population grew by about 10.6%. This growth happened because more people moved to Fresens and more babies were born than people who passed away.

Most people in Fresens speak French. About 94.5% of the population speaks French as their main language. The second most common language is German, spoken by about 3.7% of the people. A small number, 0.5%, speak Italian.
