George Pratt Shultz (born December 13, 1920 – died February 6, 2021) was an important American leader. He was a politician, an economist, and a businessman. He served in several top government jobs. These included the United States Secretary of Labor, the United States Secretary of the Treasury, and the United States Secretary of State.

Shultz was born in New York City, New York. He went to college at Princeton University. He also studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was married to Helena O'Brien for many years. After she passed away, he married Charlotte Mailliard. He had five children.

George Shultz lived to be 100 years old. He passed away at his home in Stanford, California.

George Shultz was born in New York City in 1920. He grew up and went to school there. He was a very good student. He decided to study economics, which is about how money and goods work.

He went to Princeton University for his college degree. After that, he continued his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). There, he earned his PhD, which is a very high degree.
