Eddie Collins (born September 28, 1981), known as Greydon Square, is an American rapper, producer, and sound engineer. He comes from Compton, California. Greydon Square is a veteran of the Iraq War. He is also known for sharing his ideas about critical thinking and rational thought through his music. He co-founded Majestic Comics.

Early Life and Army Service
Eddie Collins grew up in Compton. He was raised in foster homes. When he was nine, he taught himself to play the piano.
After high school, Collins joined the United States Army in 2001. He served during the Iraq War. He was part of the 82nd Airborne Division. His time in the Army was very difficult.
After leaving the Army, Collins went to Arizona State University. He studied computer science. During this time, he started thinking deeply about his beliefs. This led him to explore different ways of thinking about the world.
Music Career and Style
Greydon Square uses his music to talk about important ideas. He is known for discussing philosophy, politics, and his experiences as a soldier. He also shares his thoughts on his childhood.
He gets inspiration from many artists. Some of his influences include Rakim, Phil Collins, and Dr. Dre.
First Albums: 2004–2009
In 2004, Greydon Square released his first album. It was called Absolute. He used the name Apocalypse for this album. Later, in 2015, he re-released two songs from it.
In 2007, he released his first major album as Greydon Square. It was titled The Compton Effect. The name refers to a science idea and his hometown, Compton. He started his own company to release his music.
The next year, in 2008, he released The C.P.T. Theorem. This album was named after another concept from physics. His music during this time often explored his views on the world.
The Kardashev Scale Series: 2010–2022
In 2010, Greydon Square began a series of albums. The first was Type I : The Kardashev Scale. This name comes from a way to measure how advanced a civilization is. "Type I" means a civilization like Earth's.
The second album in the series came out in 2012. It was called Type II : The Mandelbrot Set. This title refers to a special set of numbers used to make fractals.
In 2015, he released Omniverse : Type 3 : Aum niverse. The word "omniverse" means all possible universes.
The latest album in this series was released in 2022. It is called Type 4: City on the Type of Forever. This title was inspired by a famous TV show episode.
Greydon Square also worked with other artists during this time. He collaborated with rapper Sai Phi on the album LTGU. He also appeared on Sai Phi's album Dimensions Disassembled.
Recent Music: 2017–Present
On November 5, 2017, he released the album Compton Scattering. This name is related to the "Compton effect." This album is similar to his earlier works. It talks about politics and other modern topics.
Greydon Square also helped start a group called Low Technology in 2007. He was featured on their album LTGU in 2017.
Other Projects and Activities
Greydon Square is part of a global movement for secular hip-hop. He is also involved with The Anti-Injustice Movement. He co-founded the Grand Unified Theory organization. This group uses creative ways to teach people about science and logical thinking.
In 2016, Square worked with rapper Tombstone da Deadman. They created a science-fiction comic book called Extropy and Entropy. Music tracks by Square and Tombstone go along with the comic.
In 2013, he appeared in a documentary film. The film was called Contradiction. It explored Christianity in the black community.
