Häutligen is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Bern-Mittelland district in the canton of Bern. As of December 2011, about 239 people live in Häutligen.

History of Häutligen
Häutligen was first written about in the year 1240. Back then, its name was Hutlingen.
Ancient Discoveries in Häutligen
Scientists have found old gold coins and a grave from a very old time called the La Tene era. This shows people lived here a long, long time ago.
Häutligen in the Middle Ages
In the Middle Ages, different noble families and religious groups owned parts of the village. Around the 1500s, the big city of Bern took control of Häutligen.
