Hagues Peak is a very tall mountain located in the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is the highest point in the Mummy Range, a part of the larger Rocky Mountains. This impressive peak stands at 13,573-foot (4,137 m) high, making it a "thirteener" (a peak over 13,000 feet).

You can find Hagues Peak inside the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, United States. It is about 9.9 miles (15.9 km) northwest of the Town of Estes Park. Hagues Peak is also special because it is the highest point in Larimer County, Colorado.

About Hagues Peak

Hagues Peak gets its name from two geologists, James and Arnold Hague. These scientists explored and mapped the area in the late 1800s. They helped us learn more about this amazing mountain region.

This peak has some interesting neighbors. Fairchild Mountain is located about 1.4 miles (2.3 km) to the southwest. Mummy Mountain is another nearby peak, about 1.4 miles (2.3 km) to the southeast.

A special feature near Hagues Peak is the Rowe Glacier. This glacier is a large body of ice that lies about 300 yards (270 m) north of the mountain. Glaciers are like slow-moving rivers of ice.

Exploring the Mummy Range

Hagues Peak is part of the Mummy Range. This range is known for its rugged beauty and high peaks. It offers many opportunities for hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness.

The park is home to many different kinds of wildlife. You might see elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and various birds. The plants also change as you go higher up the mountain. You can find forests at lower elevations and alpine tundra closer to the summit.
