Making the Season: Production Details
Disney Channel decided to make a third season in April 2008. The show was filmed from August 2008 to June 2009.
New Look: Opening Sequence Changes
For season three, the opening credits changed a lot. The actors' names appear on a scrolling sign, like you would see at a movie theater. Then, the video shows full-screen clips from both season two and season three episodes. A new version of the song "The Best of Both Worlds" was used. This version was performed at a concert for Season 3, and parts of that performance were added to the theme song.
Meet the Cast: Who's Back?
The main actors in season three were the same as in the season before. Some characters who appeared again were Joannie (played by Hayley Chase), Traci Van Horn (Romi Dames), Uncle Earl (David Koechner), and Jake Ryan (Cody Linley). However, Mikayla (Selena Gomez) from season two did not appear. Also, Roxy Roker (Frances Callier) and Aunt Dolly (Dolly Parton) were not in this season. This was the last season where Mitchel Musso was a regular cast member.
Music for the Season
The new version of "The Best of Both Worlds" was used for both the Hannah Montana movie and the show's opening. It was sung at the Season 3 concert in 2008. This song is 59 seconds long. The full version is on the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack, but not on the Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack.
