Hannah Montana 3 is the official music album for the third season of the TV show Hannah Montana. Most of the songs on the album are sung by Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana. Her character, Hannah Montana, is credited for thirteen of the fourteen songs.

One song on the album is sung by Mitchel Musso, who plays Oliver Oken on the show. Other famous singers like David Archuleta and Corbin Bleu also sing on the album. The music style is mostly pop rock, which is a mix of pop and rock music. It also has influences from teen pop (pop music for teens) and country pop (country music mixed with pop).

Hannah Montana 3 was generally liked by music critics. They enjoyed the mix of upbeat songs and slower, more emotional songs. The album was very popular, reaching number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. It sold about 137,000 copies in its first week! The song "Supergirl" was released as the only official single from the album in August 2009.

Making and Releasing the Album

The only song on the album not sung by Hannah Montana is "Let's Make This Last 4Ever". It's sung by Mitchel Musso, who plays Oliver on the show. There are also two duet songs. "I Wanna Know You" features David Archuleta, and a new version of "If We Were a Movie" features Corbin Bleu.

The album was released on July 7, 2009, as a CD and a digital download. There was also a special "deluxe edition" available on iTunes. This version came with access to 8 music videos from a concert filmed in California. In some countries, the deluxe edition included two discs: one for the songs and one for the music videos. A special UK edition was released in September 2009, which also included a DVD with the live music videos, a free poster, and bonus computer content.

Later, on October 30, 2009, a karaoke version of the album was released. It was called Disney's Karaoke Series: Hannah Montana 3. This album had eight karaoke versions and eight vocal versions of songs from the original soundtrack.

Popular Songs and Chart Success

Many songs from Hannah Montana 3 became popular and appeared on music charts.

• "It's All Right Here" had a music video that first showed in November 2008. The song reached number 24 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart.
• "Let's Do This" also had a music video that premiered in December 2008. It reached number 23 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart.
• "Let's Get Crazy" was first used in Hannah Montana: The Movie. Its music video came out in January 2009. This song was very successful, reaching number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US. • "Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill)" was the first song from Hannah Montana 3 to be released as a single. It premiered on Radio Disney in June 2009. The song reached number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 57 in Canada, and number 90 in the UK Singles Chart.
• "He Could Be the One" was used to promote a special hour-long episode of Hannah Montana. This song was a huge hit! It reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, which was Hannah Montana's first song to reach the top ten. It also reached number 97 in Canada.
• "Just a Girl" and "Every Part of Me" also premiered on Radio Disney and had music videos.
• "Supergirl" was the second single from the album. It was released as the only official single internationally in August 2009, especially in Germany where it reached number 42.
• "Don't Wanna Be Torn" also charted on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Chart, reaching number 4.

Promoting the Album

To help promote the album, Miley Cyrus performed a special concert in Irvine, California, in October 2008. This concert was filmed to create music videos for the songs and for use in the TV show.

Music videos for songs like "It's All Right Here", "Let's Do This", "Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill)", "Mixed Up", "Just a Girl", "Let's Get Crazy", "Supergirl", and "Every Part of Me" were all made from this concert footage. Many of these videos were shown daily on Disney Channel in the days leading up to the album's release.

Radio Disney also played songs from the album every day before its official release. Disney Channel aired fun commercials to promote the album. In one, Hannah Montana co-star Jason Earles played a game called "Hannah Montana: Sing Whaaat", where he acted out song titles for contestants. The official Hannah Montana website also launched a game called Rock the Beat to promote the album.

Album Success Around the World

Hannah Montana 3 was very successful in many countries. In the United States, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 137,000 copies in its first week. It was also number one on the Top Digital Albums, Top Kid Audio, and Top Soundtracks charts. It even replaced the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack at the top of the Top Soundtracks chart!

In Canada, the album also debuted at number two. It reached number 40 in Norway and number 26 in Mexico. The album also charted in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
