Happily N'Ever After 2: Snow White—Another Bite at the Apple is a fun computer-animated movie from 2009. It was made in both the United States and Germany. This film is a sequel, meaning it's a follow-up to the movie Happily N'Ever After. It was released straight to DVD on March 24, 2009.

The movie features the voices of Helen Niedwick, Cam Clarke, Jim Sullivan, Kirk Thornton, Cindy Robinson, David Lodge, and Catherine Lavin. Some characters from the first film, like Mambo, Munk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, the Fairy Godmother, and the Dwarves, return for this adventure. However, new actors voice these returning characters.

What's the Story About?

This movie tells a new story about Snow White. Her parents, Queen Grace and King Cole, were very kind to everyone in their kingdom. Queen Grace always helped people in need. One day, Queen Grace became very sick and passed away. Before she died, she told Snow White a very important message: "The mirror only tells half the story. True beauty comes from helping others."

Snow White's Journey to Kindness

Snow White was young when her mother died. She never learned how to help the citizens. Because of this, Snow White grew up to be a bit self-centered. She preferred hanging out with her friends, Goldilocks, Little Bo Peep, and Little Red Riding Hood. For example, they chose to go to a jousting party instead of visiting an orphanage. That night, her father told her to be back before morning and to wear her royal robe. But Snow White took off the robe and left it in the car.

At the party, she met a handsome man. Snow White liked him, but he didn't like her behavior. He thought she was rude to ordinary people. He also respected her mother, Queen Grace, very much.

When Snow White returned home, her father was upset. He had found out from the newspaper that she didn't wear the royal robe. Snow White felt it was unfair and ran to her room. Her father realized she needed to learn how to be a proper lady. He decided to find a new wife, someone like Queen Grace, to teach Snow White. His assistant asked the Fairy Godmother for help, and she started a special marriage service.

The Scales of Good and Evil

Meanwhile, Mambo's playful tricks accidentally caused the Scales of Good and Evil to tip completely towards evil. This made Lady Vain turn evil and brought Rumpelstiltskin back. Rumpelstiltskin, who also seemed to be evil again, used the Magic Mirror. He changed Lady Vain's face to look exactly like Queen Grace's. Lady Vain then went to the marriage service. King Cole chose her, not knowing she was a terrible witch who wanted to rule the kingdom.

Lady Vain saw Snow White as a problem. She wanted Snow White out of the kingdom. Because the Scales were unbalanced, a special apple appeared. If Snow White ate it, she would say the rudest things she had ever thought. Lady Vain and Rumpelstiltskin gave Snow White a fake makeover. They gave her the evil apple. Using the Magic Mirror, Snow White said very rude things to everyone in town, including her father. When Snow White woke up, she didn't remember what happened or what she said. She decided to visit the town.

Snow White's New Path

Because of the rude things she said, Snow White was forced to leave the kingdom. She ran into the forest and found a familiar house. She ate some food and fell asleep on seven small beds. When she woke up, she found the Seven Dwarfs very angry that she had entered their home without asking. One Dwarf realized she was Queen Grace's daughter, but her personality was very different. They convinced Snow White to stay. They planned to help her become more like her kind mother. Snow White agreed to do whatever the Dwarfs told her without complaining.

They went to help rebuild the Three Little Pigs' homes after the Big Bad Wolf blew them down. She also helped the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe become beautiful and babysat her children. During babysitting, Snow White sang the lullaby "Hush, Little Baby", which her mother used to sing to her. She realized that helping others made both her and them feel good. With this new understanding, she started her own "Snow White's Help Center."

The Wedding and the Truth

Back at the kingdom, everyone was excited to meet Lady Vain. Her wedding with King Cole was set for midnight. Lady Vain hired two bodyguards, saying she wasn't "used to being among the people." Sir Peter, one of the bodyguards, discovered Lady Vain's plan to get rid of Snow White forever. He ran to the woods to find her. He found Snow White helping Pinocchio shrink his nose and rebuilding Humpty Dumpty. At first, Snow White didn't want to go back, but she soon agreed.

Thanks to Mambo and Munk, they arrived just in time for the wedding. Snow White quietly went to the altar. She told her father that if he wanted to marry Lady Vain, it was his choice. Lady Vain was disgusted that Snow White was back. She said Snow White was still a horrible teenager and hadn't changed. But then, the citizens Snow White had helped appeared to support her. Snow White even apologized to everyone. Her father said, "I just want my daughter back," and the crowd cheered.

Lady Vain was angry that everyone accepted Snow White's apology and ruined her wedding. She used the Magic Mirror to zap Snow White. But the attack bounced back to the mirror, breaking the spell that made Lady Vain beautiful. She became ugly again. Before the guards could take Lady Vain away, Snow White went to her. She told Lady Vain, "You don't need the magic mirror to be beautiful." The Seven Dwarfs then took Lady Vain away. Snow White finally accepted and wore the royal robe.

The movie ends with Snow White, Peter, King Cole, and all the townspeople happily dancing together.
