Modeling beginnings
King was discovered at a modeling school fashion show when she was 14. A model agent named Michael Flutie saw her and invited her to New York City to become a professional model. She quickly became a successful model. By the time she was 16, she had appeared in top fashion magazines like Vogue, Mademoiselle, and Harper's Bazaar. She also walked the runway for famous designers like Chanel and Christian Dior. In 1998, she co-hosted the MTV fashion show House of Style.
