Jeremy Maclin (born May 11, 1988) is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Missouri Tigers. There, he was named an All-American twice. The Philadelphia Eagles picked him in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft. He also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. In 2014, he played in the Pro Bowl with the Eagles. Maclin stopped playing football in 2019.

Early Life and High School Football
Jeremy Maclin was born in Kirkwood, Missouri. He went to Kirkwood High School from 2002 to 2006. He was a talented athlete in both football and basketball.
College Football Career
Maclin played for the University of Missouri football team, the Missouri Tigers, from 2006 to 2008. He was a wide receiver and also returned punts and kickoffs. He was amazing at gaining "all-purpose yards." This means he gained yards by running, catching, and returning kicks and punts. He set a record for freshmen in the NCAA (college sports league). In 14 games, he gained 2,776 total yards!
2007 Season Highlights
In 2007, Maclin was named an All-American. This means he was one of the best players in the country. He helped the Missouri Tigers win 12 games and the 2008 Cotton Bowl Classic. He caught 80 passes and scored 16 touchdowns that season.
2008 Season Highlights
Maclin had high hopes for his second season with the Tigers. He even scored a touchdown on a kickoff return in the first game. He was very good at gaining yards in many ways. He led all major college players in all-purpose yards per game. He gained 2,833 total yards in 14 games. Again, he was named an Associated Press All-American for his amazing play.
Professional Football Career
After his college career, Jeremy Maclin was a top player for the 2009 NFL draft. He decided to enter the NFL Draft in 2009. Scouts were very impressed with his speed and skills.
Philadelphia Eagles (2009–2014)
The Philadelphia Eagles picked Maclin in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was the 19th player chosen overall. On August 3, 2009, he signed a five-year contract with the Eagles.
First NFL Game and Touchdown
Maclin played his first NFL game on September 27, 2009. He caught his first NFL touchdown pass on October 11, 2009. It was a 51-yard catch from quarterback Donovan McNabb. He scored another touchdown later in that same game!
Playoff Record
In a playoff game on January 9, 2010, Maclin made history. He became the youngest player to score a touchdown in NFL playoff history. He caught a 76-yard touchdown pass. He also set an Eagles record for most receiving yards in a playoff game with 146 yards.
2010 and 2011 Seasons
In 2010, Maclin had a great year. He caught 70 passes for 964 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. He was especially good at scoring touchdowns when the team was close to the end zone. In 2011, he had 63 catches for 859 yards and three touchdowns.
2013 Injury and 2014 Comeback
Sadly, Maclin tore a knee ligament (ACL) in 2013. This meant he missed the entire season. But he came back strong in 2014! He signed a new one-year deal with the Eagles. He became the team's main receiver. He had an amazing season with 85 catches for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns. These were all career bests for him. Because of his great performance, he was chosen to play in the Pro Bowl in 2015.
Kansas City Chiefs (2015–2016)
On March 11, 2015, Maclin joined the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed a five-year contract. In his first season with the Chiefs, he had 87 catches for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns. He helped the Chiefs reach the playoffs. In a playoff game, he hurt his ankle but still tried to play.
In 2016, Maclin was hurt by a groin injury. He missed four games and had fewer catches and yards. On June 2, 2017, the Chiefs released him.
Baltimore Ravens (2017)
On June 13, 2017, the Baltimore Ravens signed Maclin. In his first game with the Ravens, he scored a 48-yard touchdown. He finished the season with 40 catches for 440 yards and three touchdowns. The Ravens released him in March 2018.
Retirement
On March 24, 2019, Jeremy Maclin announced that he was retiring from professional football.

Personal Life and Coaching
Jeremy Maclin married Adia Kuzma on May 20, 2017. They have two daughters, Jett Rose (born 2019) and Krew Sophia (born 2021).
In 2021, Maclin became the head football coach at Kirkwood High School. This is the same high school he attended!
