Early Life and Education

Jodie Turner-Smith was born in Peterborough, England, on September 7, 1986. Her parents were from Jamaica. She lived in Peterborough until she was 10 years old. After her parents separated, she moved to the United States. She lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with her mother, brother, and half-sister.

Jodie went to the University of Pittsburgh. She studied finance there and graduated in 2008. After college, she worked at a bank for a while. In 2009, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams.
