Johnsburg is a small town located in the northwestern part of Warren County, New York, in the United States. It's part of the wider Glens Falls area. In 2020, about 2,143 people lived there. The town gets its name from John Thurman, who was an important early settler and helped found the area. Johnsburg is actually the biggest town in Warren County when you look at its total area.

History of Johnsburg

The first people to settle in the Johnsburg area arrived around 1788. The town of Johnsburg was officially created in 1805. It was originally called "Johnsburgh" and was formed from a nearby town called Thurman.

The northern and western edges of Johnsburg share a border with Hamilton County. The eastern side of the town is marked by the famous Hudson River.
