Jonathan Dupree Baldwin (born August 10, 1989) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). The Kansas City Chiefs chose him in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. He also played college football for the University of Pittsburgh. Later, Baldwin played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Jon Baldwin grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He went to Aliquippa High School. There, he was a top athlete in many sports. He played football, basketball, and ran track and field.

Time with the Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs selected Baldwin as the 26th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was expected to be an important player for the team. On July 29, 2011, he signed a four-year contract with the Chiefs.
Baldwin caught his first NFL pass in Week 7 against the Raiders. It was a 14-yard gain. On October 31, 2011, he played his first game at Arrowhead Stadium. He helped the Chiefs win 23-20 against the San Diego Chargers. In that game, Baldwin caught 5 passes for 82 yards. He also scored his first NFL touchdown on a 39-yard pass from Matt Cassel. He finished his first year with 254 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Playing for the San Francisco 49ers
On August 19, 2013, Baldwin was traded to the San Francisco 49ers. This trade involved another wide receiver, A. J. Jenkins. Baldwin played for the 49ers for a short time. He was released by the team on August 3, 2014.
Brief Stint with the Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions claimed Baldwin on August 4, 2014. However, he was released the very next day. This happened because he did not pass a physical examination.

Jon Baldwin has two sisters. His father, Jeffrey Baldwin, also played football at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a defensive lineman from 1981 to 1984. Jon's cousin, Charles Fisher, also played in the NFL. He was a cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals.
