Jordan Hendry (born February 23, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played as a defence player in the National Hockey League (NHL) for teams like the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks. A big highlight of his career was winning the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2010.

Jordan Hendry's Hockey Journey
Starting in College
Jordan Hendry started his hockey career playing four years of college hockey. He played for the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). After college, he was not picked by a team in the NHL draft. However, he signed his first professional contract with the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL on March 18, 2006. He finished the 2005–06 season playing for the Admirals.
Joining the NHL
On July 17, 2006, Hendry signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks were the main team linked to the Admirals. He made his debut in the NHL during the 2007–08 season with the Blackhawks. Because he played well, he signed another two-year contract on June 24, 2008.
Winning the Stanley Cup
A very exciting moment for Jordan Hendry was on June 9, 2010, when he won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Stanley Cup is one of the most famous trophies in sports! He even brought the Cup to his hometown of Nokomis in July that year. People there could take pictures and get autographs with him and the Cup.
On February 27, 2011, Jordan got a serious knee injury during a game against the Phoenix Coyotes. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of that season.

Playing in Europe
In August 2011, Hendry got a chance to try out for the Minnesota Wild. He played ten games for their minor league team, the Houston Aeros. After that, he decided to play hockey in Europe. On November 1, 2011, he signed a one-year deal to play in Switzerland for HC Lugano in the National League A.
Hendry returned to North America and signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks on July 1, 2012. He played two games for the Ducks. He also spent time with their minor league team, the Norfolk Admirals.
On July 12, 2013, Hendry went back to Europe. He signed a one-year contract with a German team, Straubing Tigers, in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. During the 2013–14 season, he played 38 games. He scored 4 goals and had 13 assists, making 17 points in total. When his team didn't make the playoffs, he moved to a Swedish team, AIK, on February 27, 2014, for the rest of that season.
