Justice facts for kids
Justice is a very important idea about being fair to everyone. It means treating people equally and making sure things are balanced and right. When we talk about justice, we're thinking about what is fair in how people act and how rules are made.
Justice and the Law
In many places, governments, especially the police and courts, help make sure that laws are followed. Because they can punish people who don't follow the rules, it's important that these laws are fair and apply to everyone in the same way.
Sometimes, governments might create laws that many people feel are not fair or "just." If this happens, people might start to lose trust in the law, and some might even choose not to follow it. However, in countries where people can vote and choose their leaders (called democratic societies), there are ways to change or remove unfair laws. This helps keep the system fair for everyone.
