As an actress, Kaia has played supporting roles in movies like Bottoms (2023) and Saturday Night (2024). She is the only daughter of famous supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber.

Kaia Jordan Gerber was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the younger of two children. Her mother is the famous supermodel Cindy Crawford. Her father is businessman Rande Gerber. Kaia also has an older brother named Presley.

Her family has different backgrounds. Her mother's family comes from Germany, England, France, and Denmark. Her father is Jewish. Kaia has shared that her family celebrates both Christian and Jewish holidays. They even call it "Chrismukah." She enjoys learning about both parts of her family's history.

Starting Out: 2012–2018

Kaia Gerber began modeling at a young age. When she was just 10, she worked for Versace's junior clothing line, Young Versace. She also took online classes while attending Malibu High School.

At 15, Kaia made her acting debut in the movie Sister Cities. In this film, she played a younger version of the character Carolina. In July 2015, she officially signed with IMG Models, a big modeling agency.

Kaia appeared on the covers of several Vogue magazines. She was on Vogue Paris, Vogue Netherlands, and Vogue India in 2016. She was often featured with her mother, Cindy Crawford. Kaia also appeared in ads for Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang.

In 2019, Kaia starred in campaigns for Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney. She also became the new face for YSL Beauty. She appeared on the cover of British Vogue in October. During the Fall/Winter 2019 season, Kaia walked in 26 fashion shows.

In 2020, Kaia was in the Louis Vuitton "Twist bag" ad campaign. She also appeared on her first American Vogue cover in April. She was on the cover of Vogue Italia in May and September of that year.

Kaia also started acting more. In 2021, she appeared in the tenth season of the TV show American Horror Story. She also appeared in its spin-off show, American Horror Stories. She was on the American Vogue cover again in June/July and September 2021. Her first major movie role was in Babylon (2022).

In 2023, Kaia was on the covers of Elle in America and France. She also starred in the teen comedy film Bottoms. This movie was released in the United States in August 2023. In March 2024, she was featured on the British Vogue cover, which celebrated 40 fashion icons.

In March 2024, Kaia played the role of Mitzi in the TV show Palm Royale on Apple TV+. Mitzi was an aspiring model in the 1960s. Kaia appeared in the first 10 episodes of the show. In April 2024, she also made a small appearance in a "Pilates" sketch on Saturday Night Live.
