Karan Mehra was born on September 10, 1982. He is an Indian television actor, model, and fashion designer. He is famous for playing the main character, Naitik Singhania, in the TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. This show is one of the longest-running Indian TV series. Karan Mehra also played Sumit Mishra in Khatmal E Ishq. He was a contestant on Bigg Boss 10 in 2016.

Early life and Education
Karan Mehra was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. His family is Punjabi. When he was very young, his family moved to Delhi.
Mehra studied fashion designing at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Delhi. He also went to Apeejay School in Noida. He was a top student in his class at the university. After finishing 12th grade, Mehra worked as a summer trainee at Dominos Pizza.
Career Highlights
Karan Mehra moved to Mumbai to start his career. He first worked as an assistant for directors Rajkumar Hirani and Ram Gopal Verma on four movies. Later, he appeared in the movie Love Story 2050. After this, he began working as a model and appeared in TV commercials.
In 2009, while taking acting classes, he got the role of Naitik Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. This role was a big step for his career. He played Naitik for almost seven and a half years, until June 2016. He left the show due to health reasons.
While working on the show, he also took part in dance reality shows. He was on Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye Shriman v/s Shrimati with his wife Nisha Rawal in 2012–2013.
In October 2016, Mehra joined the Bigg Boss house as a contestant. He was the first celebrity to leave the show in the fifth week. After Bigg Boss, he had a short role as Sumit Mishra in Khatmal E Ishq.
In October 2020, Mehra began filming for the Zee Punjabi show Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan in Chandigarh. In November 2020, he was featured in the song "Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra" by Jubin Nautiyal and Rochak Kohli. He has won awards like the STAR Parivaar Award for 'Favourite Pati' in 2011 and 2015.
Personal Life
Karan Mehra was married to actress Nisha Rawal. They met on the sets of a movie where he was working as a stylist. After dating for six years, they got married on November 24, 2012. The couple had a son in 2017. As of 2021, they are separated.
