Kashinka Hollow is a small stream in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It flows into the East Branch Briar Creek. The stream is about 3.0 miles (4.8 km) long. It flows through Briar Creek Township. The area of land that drains into the stream, called its watershed, is 2.08 square miles (5.4 km2).

The water in Kashinka Hollow has a median pH of 7.565. This means it's slightly alkaline, or basic. The stream's watershed sits on different types of rock. These include limestone, shale, siltstone, and mudstone. Trout live and reproduce naturally in Kashinka Hollow.

Stream's Path

Kashinka Hollow starts near a place called Summer Hill. It begins about half a mile northwest of this community. First, it flows west for a short distance. Then, it turns south and enters a valley. It flows through this valley for over a mile.

While in the valley, the stream flows next to Kachinka Hollow Road. After leaving the valley, it continues south. It then turns southwest near a town called Martzville. Finally, the stream turns south again. Soon after, it meets the East Branch Briar Creek. Kashinka Hollow joins East Branch Briar Creek about 3.58 miles (5.76 km) before the East Branch reaches its own mouth.

The amount of water flowing in Kashinka Hollow changes. This flow, called discharge, can be from 0.12 to 41.2 cubic feet per second. The average flow is about 2.325 cubic feet per second.
