History of Kingman
Kingman was first planned out in 1874. The city, like Kingman County, got its name from Samuel Austin Kingman. He was a very important judge in Kansas.
Geography and Climate
Kingman is located right next to the Ninnescah River. The city covers about 3.5 square miles (9.0 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
