Lampenberg is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It is part of the Waldenburg district in the canton of Basel-Country.

History of Lampenberg
Lampenberg was first mentioned in official records way back in 1226. It was known then as Lampenberc.
Geography and Land Use
Lampenberg covers an area of about 3.99 square kilometers (1.54 square miles). A big part of this land, about 54.6%, is used for farming. This includes fields for crops, pastures for animals, and areas for fruit trees.
About 39.1% of Lampenberg's land is covered by forests. The remaining 7.3% is where buildings and roads are located. This means most of the area is green and natural.
The town is nestled in a valley in the Waldenburg district. It sits between two valleys, the Vorderen Frenke and Hinteren Frenke. Lampenberg includes the main village and some smaller areas called hamlets.
