Lauren Evans (born February 3, 1981) is an American singer and a very successful songwriter. She has won an ASCAP Award. Lauren has written popular songs for stars like Alexandra Burke, Monrose, Jordin Sparks, and Camila. Her songs have earned five platinum awards and two gold awards in six different countries!

Early Life

Lauren Evans grew up in San Bernardino, California. Her dad, John Evans, was a pastor for Promise Keepers and Maranatha! Music. This was a Christian record label, and Lauren recorded several popular songs for them. Her version of "You're Worthy of My Praise" became a hit on Christian radio stations.

Career Highlights

Lauren's music journey started early. She worked with producers Buster & Shavoni and was featured on the The Prince of Egypt movie soundtrack. For this, she used the name Christian. A song she helped write, "Didn't I," was nominated for a Stellar Award in 1999. Later, another song she wrote, "Brighter Days," was used in the 2003 movie The Fighting Temptations.

Lauren also found success on TV. She sang for many Disney Channel shows and movies, including That's So Raven, The Cheetah Girls, High School Musical, Jump In, and Cory in the House. She was also the singing voice for the animated TV series Bratz. Her work for Bratz was released on an album called Bratz: Genie Magic in 2006.

Over the years, Lauren became a popular singer for other artists' recordings. She worked with many famous musicians like Yolanda Adams, Natasha Bedingfield, Chaka Khan, and Luther Vandross. In 2022, she even performed on stage with Tears for Fears during their tour in the US.
