Le Vigan (pronounced "Lee Vee-gahn") is a charming town in the south of France. It's located in the Occitanie region. Le Vigan is special because it's a "subprefecture" of the Gard department. This means it's an important administrative center for the area. It's also the main town of its own district, called an "arrondissement."
