History of Leipsic
Leipsic got its name from Leipzig, a big city in eastern Germany. A post office opened in Leipsic in 1839. It served the town until 1902.
Geography of Leipsic
Leipsic is located at 39°14′27″N 75°31′01″W / 39.24083°N 75.51694°W. The town covers a total area of about 0.3 square miles (0.8 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
The Leipsic River flows right through the town. It is on the southern edge of the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is a special place for wildlife.
